Our new home

It's been forever since I posted but things have been very busy in our household!  We moved from Royal Oak to Knoxville at the end of November because I got promoted! It was a promotion I had worked really hard on and we are so excited to be back in the south and only 3 hours from Greenville.  I am now the Customer Support Supervisor for Aerotek and I manage the field support group for Eastern Tennessee (3 offices).  It can be really stressfull but also really rewarding and I'm definitely still getting adjusted to the new role and responsibilities.  We were truly sad to leave our friends/coworkers in Michigan and are hoping to plan a visit to see them or have them down here in Tennessee. 

We lived in an apartment at first when we moved down here to Knoxville, and then started looking for a house after Christmas. We actually ended up putting an offer on 4 other houses before finding ours because the real estate market in Knoxville has really picked up and it was very competitve.  We moved into our new home on March 30th and we have been very busy with all that comes with being first time home owners :)  Since getting married 3 years ago, we hadn't bought any furniture because we had hand-me-downs from our parents/grandparents and we were living in an apartment, so it never really was an issue.  When we bought our house, it was exciting that we had the opportunity to decorate with a clean slate.  The only furniture we still have in our new house is the guest bedroom furniture (which used to be our bedroom furtniture), dressers and nightstands, and the kitchen table and chairs. We got a new king bed, dining room table and chairs, living room furniture, lots of accessoriess, and a washer and dryer!  It's been a fun process to make this house our home, and I wanted to post pictures of the progress so far (still lots that I want to do!) :)
